Brass Flat Bar

Brass is the general name for yellow alloys obtained by adding zinc to copper. Some other elements that can be found in brass are tin, lead, nickel, manganese, iron, aluminum, arsenic, antimony and phosphorus. Some brass containing manganese is also called bronze.

In fact, bronze (or bronze) is a copper-tin alloy. Brass is a very full and easy-to-process material. Its malleability depends on the copper content. white brass containing less than 55% copper cannot be processed easily. These are only ground into powder and find a place to be used in hard soldering operations.

Description

Description

Malleable brass, on the other hand, is usually alpha brass, which contains more than 62% copper and can be processed cold, and beta brass, which contains less copper and requires hot processing. Alpha brass has superior cold processing properties and is widely used in the production of bolts, pins and screws. Beta-brass, on the other hand, is less ductile, but more durable. They are mainly used in the manufacture of tap valves, door and window handles and some fittings.

Features

It is suitable for machining production and forming can be done by forging at a temperature of 725-850 Co.

Areas of Use

It is used in the defense industry, bullet casing construction, welding collets and lock industry.
